First day of school are generally administrative procedure, school rule and introduce our chef for the next 5 months of school life. Then there are a tour around the school, introduce all the facility and have a look at other classes.

Sunday @ Paris : Marche Bastille

As of now, I have settled down and lived in Paris for 2 weeks. Finally, I have some time to explore this beautiful city. While unlike in Australia or other Asian countries, on Sunday, most shops in Europe are closed except major tourist attractions such as the Louvre. Hence, it was quite a cultural shock when I first landed in Europe that even supermarkets are closed on Sunday.

Japan Trip Day 4 Tokyo, 浅草寺 Sensoji Temple, 合羽橋道具街, Tokyo SkyTree

This is second and the last day we in Tokyo. I was very excited when arrived Asakusa. It is not the first time I went to Asakusa and why am I so excited about it? The answer is I recently found out that about 10 minutes walk away from the famous Asakusa tourist spot - 浅草寺 Sensoji, there are a street full of kitchen appliance such as Baking Supply, Commercial Kitchen Supply and many other speciality store which sell specific product only like all kind of different drinking glasses.

Matcha shortbread 抹茶サブレ

It had been a while since I updated my blog, it doesn't mean I haven't been baking lately; actually I did keep on baking (that how I release my stress). This year had gone so fast, half is now gone and we officially step into the second half of 2015. I have been waiting for a reply from the Pastry school in Paris to get back to my about my application, to be honest I was a bit scared but life goes on and I have tried my best I have no regret.

Spinach Mushroom Sausage Quiche with Goat Cheese

First post in 2015 and it already February, time really flying so quick. During my Christmas time, I went to Singapore and Bangkok with my family and in January I went to Melbourne to watch the Australia Open for the first time. It had been pretty busy at the beginning of the year for all the holiday and catch up with friends. Now I finally have time to update my blog and do some serious cooking/baking. My mum almost thought I gave up baking because I didn’t bake for a month when I come back from Thailand.

Orange Avocado Chocolate Mousse Tart

I’ve been quite stress out with the coming exam, my French lesson (which I’m really behind) and also worrying my budget for Europe next year which make me so tired and exhausted every day and no energy to write any new blog post but I still bake every now and then. Freezing cold winter is finally over and I can feel the spring is on its way to Australia, weather getting warmer which is good news.

Christmas Gift Idea - Chestnut Shaped Chocolate Cake with Crushed Peanut

It had been 3 months since I last post blog, which I feel so ashamed of being lazy. But now getting closer to the end of the year, and it usually become my crazy baking season for the Christmas. Usually I will bake some cake or cookie as Christmas Gift because I think it more sincere to say thank you to the person that I’m giving it to (Plus I do not like present shopping, it kills my brain cells).
